Established in 1990, The Canadian Alliance Against Software Theft (CAAST) is an industry alliance of software manufacturers who share the common goal of reducing software piracy. CAAST provides educational information to corporations, consumers, academic institutions and resellers about software theft and its implications. CAAST is affiliated with the Business Software Alliance (BSA), an organization that runs educational, enforcement and public policy campaigns to combat piracy in 80 countries around the world.

Mise sur pied en 1990, l'Alliance canadienne contre le vol de logiciels (ACCVL) allie les éditeurs de logiciels qui ont comme but commun de réduire le piratage informatique. L'ACCVL offre un programme d'information et de sensibilisation sur le piratage informatique et ses implications destiné aux entreprises, aux consommateurs et aux revendeurs. L'ACCVL est affiliée à la Business Software Alliance (BSA), une organisation qui mène diverses campagnes éducatives dans le but de promouvoir la lutte contre le piratage et ce, dans 80 pays autour du monde.
